David Wainwright

Owner | Chief Flight Instructor | Tandem Pilot

David is the owner of High Adventure and a SAFA licenced Chief Flight Instructor with over 15 years flying experience.

Known globally for his patient, cool, calm and collected demeanour, Dave is considered one of Australia’s most highly regarded instructors and tandem pilots.

Dave is recognised nationally and globally for his paragliding and paramotoring skills and expertise.

Aidan Stephens

Chief Flight Instructor | Tandem Pilot

Aidan began paragliding at a young age and qualified as a pilot in 2009 at the age of 16. His passion for the sport led him to High Adventure where he completed his instructor apprenticeship.

Now a certified Chief Flight Instructor and tandem pilot, Aidan loves the opportunity to meet new people and share the incredible experience of paragliding.

Riley Freebody

Instructor (Level 1)

Riley trained with Dave at High Adventure in 2019 and has since passionately pursued both paragliding and paramotoring, flying as often as possible at many amazing locations all over Australia.

Now a level 1 instructor, Riley enjoys sharing the experience of flying with others and helping people realise their dreams of flying.

Joel Ryan

Instructor (Level 1) | Tandem Pilot

Joel’s extensive background in adventure sports includes paragliding, paramotoring, kitesurfing, surfing, and climbing. He started paragliding in 2011 and is now a certified Level 1 paragliding instructor.

Joel loves sharing the life changing experience of paragliding with everyone. For him, nothing is more satisfying than seeing students and tandem passengers transform from nervous to excited to absolutely amazed.
