The 2 Day Intro to Paragliding offers a hands-on practical approach to experiencing paragliding. It’s not a day in the classroom watching videos; it’s a hands-on two-day experience getting you in gear and in the air. It is your chance to take in as many paragliding flights and training as you can in two days.
After completion of the course, you can expect to have experienced several flights and have a real understanding of what the full course entails. The course introduces you to a variety of essential techniques such as ground handling, low flights, launching and landing techniques, high mountain launch tandems with our instructors. It’s the perfect opportunity for you to try out Paragliding without locking yourself into a full 10-day course.
The $200 fee we charge for the course can be credited against the full course should you choose to stay on or come back at a later time.
The introductory course is offered on the Friday and Saturday of all our Full ten days Learn to Paraglide classes.
Where: We meet at 9 am @ High Adventure Paragliding 3 Mill Street LAURIETON NSW 2443.
THE TWO-DAY COURSE INCLUDES
+ Transport to and from flying sites
+ All equipment and training over two days
+ Experienced instructors
+ Flight Simulator training
+ Tandem Flights
Our 2 day Introduction to Paragliding course is $200, and this includes two full days of training, all of the hire gear you require and all transport to and from the training sites. Should you decide to book into one of our full courses, your $200 will be credited towards that course cost. You do need to have Student/Trainee Insurance with The Hang Gliding Federation of Australia to participate in the free 2 day course. The cost is $44. WHERE AND WHEN DO I MEET :
Classes start at 9am @ High Adventure HQ – 3 Mill Street Laurieton. Please touch base with us a few days before the course so we can discuss the weather. The day usually wraps up sometime between 4-5pm. We aim to do as much flying as possible, so the days can be long.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING:
Please wear comfy clothes that allow for good movement. Sturdy shoes are a must! Joggers are fine, but hiking style boots with ankle support are even better. We provide helmets, however if you wish to bring your own (bike, ski, boarding etc) please feel free. Its a good idea to bring a big bottle of water, sunscreen and big wide brim hat.
