June 16, 2017, and the road trip to Western Australia begins! High Adventure takes our Paraglider and Paramotor training to Perth and Broome for the first time.
After a big overnight drive, a quick breakfast stop is called for. With a full belly, it’s straight back into it. The boys leave Broken Hill and put in some solid driving, finally pulling up for some zzz’s just south of Port Augusta.
A bit over a day and 2000kms clocked up!
Next stop – Great Australian Bight. Can’t pass up an opportunity to sneak in a play……a bit of R&R flying in this gorgeous part of our amazing country. Check out the pic! Nice!
Some long straight driving across the Nullabor and the High Adventure road trippers cross the border into Western Australia. Apparently, there are lots of roos, who seem to be drawn like a magnet to the Roo Whistle…..go figure?!
Arrived! Almost non-stop driving and destination White Gum Farm, just east of York, is reached. The first day was spent setting up. Conditions were favourable so the first Powered Paragliding course in WA commenced with some ground handling and towing. Oh and damper making 😉
The following days have included lots of theory for our Learn to Paramotor students, but also some spectacular flying from the look of the pictures! Gorgeous sunsets – Western Australia is certainly putting on a nice show for the High Adventure crew! Guessing there have also been a few pub visits fitted in….
