It has been not an easy decision for us to do this step forward, and add a wing design to our range of products. But at the same time we have been feeling for a long time, the need to do that, and give schools and dealers a powerful tool that would fulfill their customer's expectations and reach their total satisfaction. It seemed not be available on the market, the perfect beginners/intermediate ppg wing. A wing that could be purchased for an Ab-Initio training, and that would keep the pilot happy for years of activity. Apparently it is easier to find a very safe wing design for the first steps, but that would become too basic very soon, in terms of speed and maneuverability. Or probably, there are several models that are really good for an intermediate pilot, but that instructors do not recommend as the real first purchase for a student. Well, having this feedback, we have partnered with one of the biggest manufacturers of paramotor wings, French company ITV, to reach this goal, and have a paramotor wing with several exceptional features, to perfectly match with our range of paramotors, and allowing us to offer a complete pack of the highest quality and competitively priced. But it had to be done in the best way, and with the best partner.
The wing has been called Enjoy, as we want to make clear what we are offering our customers. Enjoyment over all, with the highest level of safety, and a top of the range performance; and also manufactured with the latest construction technology and best quality materials. So, this is not the cheap wing to make an affordable pack, it has never been the idea, as it is not in all the other products manufactured by KobraPPG.
We have very clear in mind, that a student will have fun, and enjoyment, if he can take off. If he can’t, and if he gets frustrated during the first take off attempts, then he will not enjoy anything, and will start thinking that this sport is not for him, far more complicated than what he thought at the beginning. Flight instructors know that very well, as it is very common. So, we wanted a wing that requires much less skills to the pilot during the take off phase: this means exceptional inflation characteristics. And we have got it right! In fact, this is probably what makes us more proud about the Enjoy: anytime we let it try to pilots for some inflation attempts, even in nil wind conditions, they can only do it right! Just because in fact the wing does it right alone! This extremely easy take off characteristics, make this wing very special, and we’ve call it “Easy UP”. Even if you are a proficient pilot, you will really appreciate taking off anytime at the first attempt since you own a new Enjoy wing!
Once in flight the wing feels very solid, with a balanced and effective turn; just ideal to be defined really safe, difficult to over control, and particularly FUN to fly! Brakes become hard at a certain point, just to tell the pilot not to go further, if you don’t really know what you are doing… Amazingly, the wing has almost no torque effect. It has been tested with several paramotors, and for some reason it looks like there is no need for compensating the direction as in many other wings. Speed, for an EN A wing, is really high. If you then release the trim, and add some pressure on the speed bar, you will feel like having the latest full reflex profile over your head, but you still have an EN A wing instead! Try to believe!
The Enjoy will let you still enjoy your flight in turbulence, offering a high resistance to collapse and a real peace of mind. When going back to the landing spot, it behaves really easily, slowing down gradually with some brake pressure, allowing you to precisely choose where to put your feet back on earth.
Finally, when it is time to go back home, you will see how the Dominicotex tissue material of your Enjoy wing, lighter than the average, looks still shiny like the first day thanks to its special surface induction, making it practically water repellant. If you had some sand going into the wing, the velcros on the trailing edge will help you cleaning it before storage. When packing the wing, it will come down to a size you are not used to, saving space in the back of your car.
Enjoy is also a joy to look at, with its spectacular asymmetric design so easy to recognize among the others…
