As part of the restructuring of the UP R&D team we sat down to look our model range through; which models needed an update, which ones were still going strong? Funny enough that in spite of the original K2 still being a very popular model in our range our new team was adamant that they could improve it further still.

One of the important novelties of the new design, aside from the fact that it is a faster, easier and simply better wing, is that it is now available in both S/M and M/L - this means that as of now the legendary K2 handling is even available to lightweight tandem pilots!

It also sports a completely new, sporty planform that reminisces of the latest generation of UP performance wings, it has a wider speed range, and yes, it has become even easier to launch than the fabled K2! As you would expect, the handling has been refined so that the pilots in the lightweight (for a tandem pilot) bracket can also enjoy the precise, direct transferral of input to reaction in a canopy that looks modern yet unquestionably UP.

The colour scheme has been revised in line with the feedback we were getting from K2 users - it is less susceptible to soiling, with an all-coloured top surface, and it fits well in the new UP look.
