Two Day Free Course Info
Next Free Course Dates
We have now changed the way we do the 2-Day Free Course. We are going to limit the numbers to maximum 6 – 8 persons. You will get more value out of the 2 days.
The free courses will commence 2 days before all our license courses. So if you want to see if it’s for you and then wish to continue, you get 2 extra days free on your license course. And if you don’t wish to continue there is no obligation to do so. But if intending to do the license course with us, you will need to pre-book prior to free course and scheduled license course dates.
Please see the below dates and choose which dates you want to attend ASAP, it will be limited spaces only:

This video was taken on our July 2010 free course, by one of our local pilot’s wife….all students did solo soaring flights plus Tandems. You won’t get this anywhere else as they don’t have the Instructors or our Great Facilities. Double click on video for full screen
The attached video is testimony of what you can do in one of our 2-day free introductory courses be you 15 years of age or 70 years of age. Imagine what you can accomplish in an 8-day license course.
The flying and training is still superb in our area most of the year. You will get to meet our instructors, see our accommodation and high tech classroom facilities, which is now a benchmark to be met by others in the Paragliding business. Our instructors will answer any questions you may have about learning etc during your free 2-day intro. It’s a lot of fun and we guarantee a great time, and you will actually get airborne and not sit in a classroom all day.
You can expect on average to do some small flights on our manicured training slopes and maybe a tandem flight off one of our 500-meter high scenic mountain sites. On this course you will quickly see why we taught the most people in Australia in the last 2 years with our excellent training sites, Instructors and accommodation.
We live up to the claims made on our website and you will see they are exactly as advertised, unlike other locations. You will soon see after doing our free course why other school websites cannot live up to what we have on offer here at High Adventure.
So call or email us today to see if you would like to try Paragliding as your new sport…absolutely no obligation with these courses, it’s a come and see, have a go and if you like it, you can sign up for one of our courses. The training done on our 2-day intro goes towards a full license and you will receive a $100 discount if you sign up immediately at the end of the 2 days.
The only fee that needs to be paid is a $20 insurance cover by the HGFA, and a waiver form needs to be completed.

Testimonial December 09
My recent nine day course followed a free weekend try-out. In both cases the staff of High Adventure did their utmost to ensure safety and enjoyment for all participants. The accommodation provided is modern, clean and comfortable.
We, the students, were given all consideration for any memory lapses if failing to follow instructors advice (and of course this happen to me frequently). I found that after about seven days things started to gel and the confusion of all those strings going to the wing became an organized set of risers and lines, un-snagged and neatly in the right place. The instructors patience and repeated corrections had paid off!
Safety was the paramount objective of the Chief Pilot and Instructor. At every site we attended (and there were many), before telling us to set up our equipment, he looked at the site features, including ground and wind as well as any weather changes which may have been brewing. If for some reason the site was not suitable, we all bundled back into the Delica 4WD and went off, to another site where the conditions were suitable for beginners. Otherwise we returned to home base for groundhandling or theory.
I give Lee and all of his part time instructors a big tick in all areas:
a. Ensuring that motivation was kept high, by keeping us safely within the limits of our developing skills and showing us through the initial tandem flight what joy can be experienced in this sport.
b. By showing us the practical aspects of flying from many different sites on the ocean headlands and the hills and peaks further inland.
c. By developing our knowledge of the theory of flying paragliders in a logical and progressive manner.
By the way, I am now on my way towards my 73rd birthday. It shows what you can do if you try, (and have the right help).
I will be going back to High Adventure to improve and enjoy more of the Laurieton area.
